Disabling the switch on the TM751 is straightforward. This is also a reversible mod. This is handy if you want to ensure that only the X10 system is able to turn and off the attached socket.
* Note: This is full 120v AC inside here, DO NOT test it with the unit open and don't mess around with this if you don't know what you're doing.
* Open the TM751, and remove the plastic button.
* Carefully lift the metal triangle that forms the push button contact.
* Slip a piece of plastic tape underneath the button preventing electric contact of the switch to prevent the switch from closing.
* Replace the triangle and close the TM751

It is easier than soldering-based modifications to undo if you want to restore the button.
- Note: this modification is internal to the unit. This strap above is part of a different project - making the TM751 is tamper resistant
